Although roughly half the people in the history of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have been women, their lives of faith and dedication are only beginning to receive the attention they merit. Women of Faith in the Latter Days is a multi-volume series featuring generations of Latter-day Saint women, some well-known and others obscure. Scrupulously researched, the series aims to enhance awareness of these women through inspirational vignettes, often written in the woman’s own words.
Three volumes of this projected seven-volume series have already been printed, and we look forward to releasing volume 4 in Fall 2017 (1871-1900). Women of Faith in the Latter Days, Volume 1, 1775-1820, Volume 2, 1821-1845, and Volume 3, 1846-1870 were published in 2011, 2012, and 2014, respectively.
A short compilation of engaging stories from volumes 1-3 called Fearless in the Cause: Remarkable Stories from Women in Church History was released in 2016 for those who enjoy a quick read or would like to gift a sampler of LDS women’s stories to new readers.
To expand the selection of women’s stories, each chapter in the Women of Faith series has been written by a different author. We are pleased with the exposure the series has given to the incredible stories of Latter-day Saint women.
